Nervous Nellie takes pen in hand:
In an interview yesterday on Omaha radio 1620AM Houston's AD said that ESPN 
would help Houston find a replacement game.  This bothers me.  Has a 
network ever before "helped" a school fill out its schedule?
TV has for years picked which games to broadcast and has asked game dates 
to be changed but I've never heard of a network finding an opponent for a 
school.  Could this be a beginning of further TV intrusions?  Perhaps NBC 
will "help" Notre Dame with its scheduling to build it into a more 
attractive product with better ratings a increased advertising revenues.
