There was more than "talk", there was a proposed
contract on the table that Houston and apparantly ESPN
had signed.  And Steve Pederson had apparantly
verbally agreed to the arrangement as well.

Is this verbal agreement binding?  In a legal sense,
probably not.  In terms of morals, ethics, and
integrity, that is a different situation.
