     That is a great point.  Maybe he wants to succeed here so badly that he is, as the saying goes, trying TOO hard.  It seems one thing is true, though.  There are a certain amount of people that don't believe Pederson can do anything right since he fired Solich.  They just won't accept anything from Pederson for that reason.  I am not referring to your post when I say that.  It is just a general observation.
