I dont think Houston has been confused for a
powerhouse football team for about 20years. I think
playing a poor 1-A team beats playing a poor 1-AA team
and I dont think we gain anything from playing Maine.
I dont see the logic in that at all. Heck if we are
going for this type of game why not just schedule UNO?
What could we possibly gain from playing Maine that
would not have been gained from playing Houston? I
would think it would help more for recruiting playing
a 1-A school on national television then it would
playing Maine even on pay per view. I think with the
stink Houston is making of this that it will make the
circus in Lincoln continue. I also think it will make
us the laughing stock of college football. And who
cares if you are 4-0 if you are backing out of playing
1-A teams to play 1-AA teams. The people who vote in
the polls sure aren't. And now what happens if Maine
somehow pulls off the upset? I think this is nothing
but bad for NU.
