Huskers Illustrated's Sean Callahan is reporting that
the Houston AD is furious that Steve Pederson backed
out of a deal to open next season at Reliant Stadium
on ESPN.
I noticed that the Maine head coach is named Jack
Cosgrove; I wonder if he is a relative of Nebraska
defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove.

Personally, I'm disappointed that Pederson turned down
a TV game against a 1-A opponent to play a money game
against an extremely mediocre 1-AA team that went 5-6
last season. Pederson will no longer be able to use
the excuse that Bill Byrne used to use, and that is
that "nobody will play us".
