So, Jeff, fresh off dismissing Horne's multiple criminal behaviors
as universal teenage behavior is one of several opening up on Birkel
who has the audacity to speak his views about the way the football
program is being run. And then, having done so, he has the audacity
to accuse others of spinning their take on current events based on
their view on the coaching changes. He's clearly right about one
thing: it depends on what way he wants to spin it.

>> I read Birkel's comments. Mr. Football for the State of Nebraska feels
>> un welcome and un appreciated. Thanks for the respect of our tradition
>> and program, Coach. Read his comments for yourself. Is Pederson really
>> going to run this program the way it appears? A farm system for the NFL?
>> any worse, I can only shake my head.
