[Husker] Volleyball Loses

Good Evening All:

Well the Husker's hopes of making it into the Final Four next weekend in Long Beach came to halt tonight in Louisville, KY. The number one seeded Huskers faced the eighth seeded USC Women of Troy and lost in 5 games (35-33, 27-30, 21-30, 36-34 and 12-15). The Huskers staved off several USC game points in games one and four and won those games however USC dominated the pivotal game three to take a two games to one edge in the match. In game five the Huskers tied the game at 11 before USC went on the 3-0 run to reach match point. NU scored once more before USC closed out the match and the Husker's season. The Huskers finish the season at 30-2. 

One additional note the 2006 Volleyball Final Four will be played at Qwest Center Omaha.
