Steve, if Turner had said he thought the sun was going to come up in
the east tomorrow, people would have wondered what he meant by that!

As far as I can tell, Turner was not misquoted, though he was probably
misinterpreted, either by the press or by readers here.  How unusual is
that?  

Personally, I thought Turner was not going to work out here for two
reasons. 

1.  He is a reminder of things past.  Pappa don't want no guitar players
    'round here.
2.  He is a coaching round peg in a west coast square hole.

I wish him the very best in his quest for a head coaching job.  I think
he needs to prove himself as an OC first, but there may be an AD out
there willing to consider his other qualifications sufficient.  

Who knows, maybe the AD who replaces Pederson will hire Turner as the
head coach to replace the guy who replaces the guy who replaces Callahan!
