Where did I even imply that? I only talked about how a certain amount of NU fans have changed their opinion. I have always liked Spurrier personally and would have liked to see him coach at NU.

I would suggest that if in 3-5 years we are back in the hunt for the top ten and winning the Big 12 North people won't even remember 5-6. There is not much difference between 5-6 and 6-5 and at 6-5 we probably would have been in a bowl and the winning streak would have continued. I would feel it is more giving a new coach a chance rather than sugar coating.

If Solich would have done a better job is something we will never know. We probably would have had a better record but whether or not the overall program would be headed in the right direction is up for debate.
