And I think some people are looking far and wide and near and far for a reason to rip Callahan and ultimately Pederson. Can you tell me what Callahan's goals, agenda's and plans for the 2004 season were with certainty? A lot of people are ripping him for this season saying he didn't do this and that. Maybe he didn't INTEND to do this and that. I have no idea what his plans were for the season. If you know please by all means let us know.

I am a huge baseball fan and many times fans will wonder why in the world a manager made a certain move. It is then found out he not only was managing for today but two or three games down the road. I have said this so many time I hate saying it again. If Callahan's goal was to take the available talent and plug it into whatever system would work with that talent and have a successful season as far as wins and losses he failed. If his goals were more long range then the jury is still out. To this point I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
