Heck, put a 200 pound fast safety on the end this spring if no one else can
do it, it worked for Dr Tom.

I'm not giving Cosgrove a pass, because I don't think
he schemed well. However, a big difference between
last year's defense and this year's can be summed up
in two words: Demorrio Williams. He was constantly
harassing quarterbacks last year. Harassed
quarterbacks throw more interceptions.
This factor is also one of my main gripes with
Cosgrove. The pressure the Blackshirts placed on
opposing quarterbacks this year was pathetic.
Cosgrove should have done whatever it took to get that
pressure. Coach Cosgrove, your assignment this summer
is to write on the blackboard 1,000 times "There is no
such thing as a shut-down cornerback. There is no
such thing as a good pass defense without a good pass
rush."
