[Husker] A Question for the List...

An excellent post! Unfortunately, I'm not sure that
there's anybody like that on the list anymore. The
best example, of course, was Greg Mays.

I am reminded of a comment made by Dr. Rob Zatechka on
KMTV Sunday night. While Zatechka isn't a coach, he
did play in the NFL, and many people say that
offensive linemen are the smartest guys on the field.
He said that he had never heard so many "armchair
coaches" be on the mark as he had heard this season.

In any event, I'd love to hear more explanations from
someone knowlegable as to what the coaches were trying
to accomplish, and how it worked (or as was frequently
the case, didn't work.) Some of my influences this
year came from my wife, who went to the Husker
Football 101 for women last summer. She brought back
lots of notes for me to look over, but I wish she had
snuck a camcorder in. :-)
