Fwd: [Husker] Defensive Scheme and Speed

When I look at the changes this year, I see
similarities to learning a foreign language. Some
people advocate a gradual introduction, where you
learn the fundamentals and gradually introduce the
language. Others advocate total immersion, where you
speak nothing about the new language. The immersion
approach gets you adjusted quicker, but until some
level of adjustment sets in, you are an incoherent
babbling idiot.

One of my biggest complaints with Callahan and
Cosgrove is that they swore in preseason that they
were totally dedicated towards success this season (I
believe the exact quote was that they wanted to
compete this season for a championship), implying a
more gradual transition. However, that's hardly what
they did. (In a business sense, it was a classic "bait
and switch"...)
