[Husker] Coaching 'the Kids' Severely

I had also heard that Turner Gill was having problems with the "in your
face" style of coaching that some of the coaches used. The problem I
have with that is that people are describing it as a pro style of
coaching. Excuse me but most of the coaches came from the college ranks.
I could see Callahan and Norvel being that way but that would be it for
that style of coaching. Plus Charlie McBride could be in your face and
yet his D's performed for him. I think it goes along the lines of
whether the yelling is constructive or demeaning and I think the
demeaning side may have come out here.

A friend of mine has a nephew playing on the '04 Huskers. It is said
that the coaches are very 'in your face' and integrating NFL style
coaching on teenagers. I don't see evidence of this on the sidelines
but maybe it's "behind the scenes."

I agree with others who say this team is not "buying into" the new
system. I wonder how many plays Callahan has had them learn versus
the Solich playbook?
