The laptop I had been using for this purpose started giving the blue screen of death. Going back to the old desktop I had to sort out the serial ports (it had six) to figure out which was which, so two serial boards in the panel and six on the PC and no indication at any time of which was working. Finally I got out the scope and figured out which port PC-access was using, but there was still no action at the HAI serial board LEDs. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#1F497D'>Finally I dropped the baud rate to 300 and it started working, sort of. I downloaded the programs and the all the consoles started beeping like crazy and the download errored out. Finally I figured out that the file was set to 9600 baud and, after downloading at 300, when the new programming took effect it upshifted the baud rate and did not complete programming. Curiously I then tried downloading at 9600 and it everything started working.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;color:#1F497D'>One day I will upgrade to an OmniPro II and dump the serial ports all together. Web-Link also worked with the old board.</span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'> </span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Now the replacement board is installed but I have been unable to connect to it with PC-Access so the programming can be downloaded.
