Public wan address. This is from a computer "within" my private net. I have port

network, and all machines running XP Pro....Do you have a router, and are there
any port assignments that are blocked? I use routers for a firewall but
usually the router is outside the network and only on one side of the

on the server machine firewall, even though it is turned off. No Norton or
other like software installed on any computer on the net. Made no

cooperate with Web-Link, I installed it on a 98SE machine. I can connect just
fine from clients to this machine, BUT, I only get a very generic looking web
page. Not the one that one would expect from Web-Link. Do you know if this is

firewall on all computers on the network and you don't have any antivirus
software providing a firewall, then you should have access to the Web-link
server. What you describe (the server providing the login page, but
failure to communicate further) sure sounds like a block from a firewall. Is
the XP Firewall turned off on ALL computers on the network and are there any
Norton or other Internet security software active?</FONT></DIV>

get the Web-Link Login page. I type in the correct user name and access

Access code is cleared from the dialog boxes. Web-link never serves up the
