No X10, but we have a Vantage HA system and use the serial comm link option to send messages between the two systems. FWIW, I'm in Lincoln Nebraska. My monitoring company has a little experience with HAI, but not a lot. -- Mike Nolan From cldp at hotmail.com Mon Jun 13 17:26:28 2016 From: cldp at hotmail.com (Claude) Date: Mon, 13 Jun 2016 18:26:28 -0400 Subject: [Hai-users] Aegis Replacement Options? Message-ID: Hi Mike, I would not be a lot of help as I am in Montreal Canada but I only install HAI/Leviton Omni controllers and recently, I?ve sent to two controller boards at HAI/Leviton in New Orlean, one Aegis 3000 and a OnQ HMS 1100 that have been repaired AND ?converted? to an HAI Omni PRO II with the latest version 3.15. Both boards returned and reinstalled with a little bit of manipulation as I needed to convert the Aegis and OnQ programs into the Omni format. IF, again IF, your Aegis is NOT using specific Aegis control devices like special keypads that ONLY work with Aegis controllers (and same goes with OnQ), you could send the board for repair at HAI. They will charge a flat rate for fixing issues that your board could potentially have and also will do the conversion to Omni PRO II (if you have a Aegis 3000). If you have specific Aegis or OnQ control devices, the Omni board will NOT be compatible with those control devices so real important before proceeding. I recently worked on a system that was using an Aegis 2000 (really old controller without ethernet, similar to Omni PRO) with ALC lighting system and replaced it with an Omni PRO II. Even though it was one hell of a job, it turned out working nice and now the customer can control his security system and lighting with his cell phone ! Anyway, all this to say that it might be worth the effort to send your controller for upgrade (depending on the model). All you need is the original program export and you are good to go for an upgrade that you won?t regret, I am pretty sure. It?s a bit of work though but well worth it. These controllers are awesome. Good luck ! Claude From: Mike Nolan Sent: Monday, June 13, 2016 4:34 PM To: hai-users at romaine.tssi.com Subject: [Hai-users] Aegis Replacement Options?
