[Hai-users] HAI RC-2000 Thermostat

Thank you all for the assistance, the A/C man appears to have installed the thermostat upside down blowing the T-stat and a fuse int he unit.
 
I have to admit the A/C control was one feature I have never taken proper advantage.  A lighting strike, next to the house ground, blew two the three TSTATs off the wall and burned a hole almost through the omnipro II shortly afte install.  When I replaced the HAI hardware I was reluctant to hook the TSTATs back up as I also lost the A/C boards. 
 
With the adventure of have the A/C tuned I decided to trace the wires, verify good connection and no shorts.  The other two TSTATs are RC100s and they are not communicating with the Omnipro, the RC-2000 which is on address 3 is working communicationg with the Omnipro.  Is there a good proecure to go through to test the RC-100s?  
 
PC Access just reports  0 0 0   OFF, FAN AUTO and the clocks on the RC-100s are not be updated, acts like they are not connected.  Have checked and they are on address 1 & 2 and set to 100 baud.

I have experienced before that if the incorrect contacts touch when placing the cover back on, you can blow the fuse on the power supply at the Furnace itself.  The thermostat may still be intact and functional, but the furnace blown fuse will not feed any power to the thermostat.

If you hook up the cheap home depot one and not go, do check the low voltage fuse(s) internal on your furnace,  not the fuse or breaker for the 120v.

I have learned the hard way to never pull a thermostat or put it back on with it powered up.

My RC-2000 thermostat died when an A/C technician pulled it to test one of my units during a tune-up, he said all he did was put it back on.  I looked over the wiring and could not find anything.  I also tested the data cables, no opens no shorts.
 
Received a replacement from HAI yesterday and it will not power up.  I have checked the power and the 24volt from the A/C is where its suppose to be.  Any suggestions?  I am about to go to Home Depo and pick up a cheap manual thermostat just to check the A/C unit.
