I use the ESL 2 wire heat detector, 135 degree fixed temperature but also
monitor rate of heat rise. I believe it is 15 degrees per minute will set
it off. ESL104-13
For Attics you would want a higher temp point of 194 degrees. ESL104-14
These both work with the Aegis/HAI/OnQ home automation systems.
Both of these sensors are cheap I sell them to my clients for under $15
each.

Subject: [Hai-users] fire sensor for a garage
A recent catastrophic fire in our neighborhood made realize that I
have no way of detecting a fire in our garage. Like my neighbor, a
fire in the garage would not be detected until smoke gets into the house.
What is the recommended heat sensor that would work with my Aegis
alarm system? What other fire sensors would work in a garage environment.
