I haven't had a reason to. I occasionally lose an x10 signal due to
attenuation I believe, but it's less than .1% and on generally on a single
device (haven't figured that one out yet and it's not a critical device). I
do pay close attention for attenuation when I add new electronics to my
home. 

Having said that, if the cost was the same between x10 and UPB, I'd probably
be buying UPB. I also seem to recall that UPB didn't have the selection x10
did (1000w relay switches, etc) but that was a couple years ago and perhaps
they do now. 

What kinds of problems are you having with x10?
