Possibly you're drawing too much power. Meaning you may need to put the Omni
touch on its own power supply. Does the Omni touch work correctly if it's
the only one hooked to power? Un-hook the other two consoles to check.

Subject: [Hai-users] Help with strange OmniTouch issue
Over the pat few days I upgraded my OmniPro II system by adding a Video Hub
with Encoder, 3 Cameras and an OmniTouch with Video. The problem is that
when I plug in the OmniTouch, one of my other standard consoles goes crazy
spewing garbage characters on the screen. The OmniTouch panel flickers like
crazy and I have even seen it loose connection with the controller or not
allow me to select any onscreen buttons (although the unit beeps as if it
got the input).
- I have 2 standard consoles and only one of them goes crazy when the
OmniTouch is plugged in.
- I have verified and re-verified that the cable between the HAI Controller
and Video Hub are hooked up correctly. They are in different areas of the
house and I connect them with a 75' cat5e cable using 3 of the twisted pairs
to A, B and GRD.
- I have tried multiple cat5 cables to attach the OmniTouch to the hub.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
