This is done as a security measure and in today's environment of
malicious people added security is a good thing. This is not an
IE-specific issue...Web-Link utilizes cookies and ASP session variables
to track your login guid so every browser is going to be impacted if you
close it.
This is the first I have heard anybody being concerned with too much
security with Web-Link. If you wish to assume the risk then more power
to you. Send me email privately and I will be happy to provide you a
simple web page to access that will reset the invalid login count timer
or provide instructions on hacking into the existing pages to prevent
the invalid login timer check.
If enough people want the ability to turn these checks off then I'm sure
HAI will take this into consideration for future releases.

Subject: [Hai-users] Web-Link II Logon Blocking Override
If you close your browser window while accessing WebLink,
your logon session is not terminated for five minutes.
If you attempt to login during those five minutes, you will be denied
access.
If you attempt to login three times and are denied access, no logins are
permitted for an hour.
Is there a way to adjust (or disable) these features in Web-Link? I'd
like to be able to login again immediately, even if I was lazy and
didn't
logoff. At any rate, a one hour timer for localhost access seems
excessive.
It's bad enough I have to use Internet Explorer with the software. To
have
forced blocking periods is way too corporate.
Thanks.
Byron
