Byron, I should of went further. If you need to see what's going on at
night, you will either need lots of light or IR illumination. You also want
to be concerned with the resolution of the camera. The higher the better if
you need to identify someone in the picture. You also need someway to record
that high resolution. Again, to identify.
The best IP cam I've ran across by far is the Sony SNC-RZ25. It works very
well in all aspects. I find the Panasonic's to be sluggish in comparison.

Of course, the best solution if you can do it, is wired cams such as the

It is a network camera with a built-in card memory and it's wireless.
