Dave,

Try a filter on the HVAC power supply. I had a client's house with the same
issues after a new HVAC. I was able to stick a smarthome filterlinc between
the unit and the wall plug and everything was back to normal.

Hope that helps.

Doug

Subject: [Hai-users] Phantom on/off problem

I'm having a problem with X10 switches turning on by themselves. I have
a system that's worked well for about 2 years and now this problem has
appeared. I'm 99% sure that it's related to a recent HVAC install.
I've tried changing unit & house codes but it doesn't seem to help the
problem. When I get home, any combination of the 3 affected lights may
be on. I've only seen this problem on 3 of my approx. 25 X10 switches
installed. These lights can turn on by themselves while I'm home as well.

I'm running all Leviton switches connected to an OP2 though a CM11A. I
have a coupler/repeater installed as well.

Two questions:

1. Is there anything else I can try to solve the problem with my
existing equipment.

2. Would changing to a different PLC system likely help the situation?
If so, is UPB the current recommended choice?

Thanks!
  - Dave
