[Hai-users] 3 Beeps at Aegis Panel?

After any event which results with a message on the Aegis panel, all
panels randomly beep (3 quick beeps) for about 5 minutes. This
consistently happens every time the alarm is disarmed, and can be
recreated by arming then disarming, by turning on a sprinkler zone
(which causes a single beep and displays a programmed "Sprinkler Active"
message), or by any other event which produces a console message. 
 
I have disconnected each console one at a time; however, the problem
remains no matter which console is disconnected. I have also reset EPROM
and RAM, and checked for loose comm. connections. Once started, after 5
minutes, the beeping stops as mysteriously as it began. 
 
I have an Aegis 3000 panel with S/W version 2.5 and 2 Flush mount and 2
Touchpad consoles. This system has worked flawlessly for the past 3
years. Since I installed this system back in 1998 and upgraded to the
3000 in 2003, and since the company I purchased it from is no longer in
business, I have been successfully maintaining this system until now.
This is the most annoying 5 minute period waiting for the beeps to
cease. So far, they always do. 
 
Has anyone ever seen this problem and know the cause and/or cure? Any
insight would be greatly appreciated.
