The Companion 6 can be reset using the buttons on the right side. Press
and hold the buttons for 10 seconds for the desired function:
Buttons 1 & 2 Reboot
Buttons 3 & 4 Calibration
Buttons 4 & 5 Reset Network
Buttons 3 & 5 Reset device to factory defaults"
I have gotten looping problems in the past and a factory default may be your
only option if cycling power does not help. Every time I have done a
factory default reset I have not seen any change in the software revision so
there should be no reason that you need to run software update again. So its
pseudo-factory reset. Since it doesn't take it EXACTLY back to the way you
got it, but it is more of a software reset with fail safe options. (aka very
little programs setup).

Subject: [Hai-users] OmniPro II with CorAccess
Hello all,
I have an OmniPro II with a CorAccess Companion 6. The house took a
lightning strike and the Coraccess is a replacement unit. The Companion
starts loading the data from the OmniPro and then gets into some sort of
loop and I can see it loading things like the Sunrise-Sunset data over
and over. The serial communication seems to be working both ways, but
the data configuration never finishes.
I am thinking that the OmniPro maybe needs to get its memory and
programs reset and reloaded, but I have not found a way to do that.
Uploading the programming has not cleared the problem. The bios is 2.4
and the Companion is 2.15 I think.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Doug
